VolunTweens is the NCJW volunteer program for students in grades 5 through 8.
Participants mentor young children, ages 3 to 5, in an after-school program in East Orange, N.J., where they are partnered with a teacher in a supervised classroom.
The afternoon activities include playtime, arts & crafts projects, reading time, circle time and music. The VolunTweens will also be helping with holiday parties, projects for National Reading Month, and a Bring-a-Friend event.
